walk information
Start - Earlswood Train Station (A 25 minute journey from Moor Street/Snow Hill, every 1 hour on a Saturday)
Finish - Alvechurch Train Station (A 30 minute journey to New Street - trains every half an hour on a Saturday)
Geocaches - 2 Found, 1 Not Found
Notes from the Field - Mappiman's Blog
Distance - 6 miles
Refreshments - We pass the Rose and Crown quite early in the walk. I would recommend waiting to Alvechurch, where there are two pubs, a cafe and a chipper.
Terrain - Starts on lanes and then moves to the most glorious countryside walking of the Brummie Ring. A real joy.
Walk Information
Have we saved the best to last? You would think not as you start the walk along lanes of little interest. Once under the M42, we hit real countryside and have the views from the top of Hob Hill, which are outstanding. The walk is all countryside back to Alvechurch, which you can see in the distance. The thought of the pubs, food and the end of the Brummie Ring will carry you to your destination.
