Tipton Station
Honestly, this walk could not be easier. Immediately out of Tipton Station is the BCN Main Line canal. Turn Left and walk along it. Just after Dudley Port Station, there is a footbridge marked "Toll End Works". The towpath is easier on the opposite side, so cross and continue. The monarch's way resumes on this towpath, just after the Gower Branch Canal junction.
Walsall Canal
Keep your eye out for the Walsall Canal, which meets the BCN Main Line at Albion Bridge. Its obvious where the canals merge but there is no footbridge, so you have to turn right on the BCN Canal Towpath, walk over the Albion Bridge and then drop down to the Walsall Canal on the left hand side of Albion Road.
The towpath starts on the right hand side of the canal but soon crosses on a footbridge so it is on the left hand side. This is still the Monarch's way. We follow the canal for 2.5 miles, until we meet a footbridge marked "Wiggins Mill Bridge" near a large pylon. Cross the bridge, take the alley on the right hand side. This brings us to a street of houses. Walk to the end of the road and turn left for Wednesbury Parkway Tram station.
