Walk information
Start - Coleshill Parkway (A 15 minute Journey from New Street, every 30 minutes on a Saturday)
Finish - Marston Green (A 10 Minute Journey to New Street, roughly every 20 minutes on a Saturday)
Geocaches - 4
Notes from the Field - Mappiman's Blog
Distance - 6 Miles
Refreshments - Not much on route, but there is a massive Asda at Chelmsley Wood. Near the end of the walk, we see a sign for a pub called the Bell, which has been converted to a nice restaurant. The cafe at Marston Green station was shut on a Saturday afternoon, but just down the main road is the Marston Green Tavern. All was not lost.
Terrain - Once out of the Coleshill Business Park, its all countryside on great paths.
Walk Information
Nice countryside on this walk. Once out of the business park, there is a nice bit of woodland between the M42 and the M6 called the Belt. Hurry up though folks, looks like its on the intended route of the HS2 rail line. Then the OS map marks the Solihull Way LDP. This is no longer maintained but the footpaths are good and take you through nature reserves following the River Cole and Kinghurst Brook all the way to Marston Green.
