Alexander stadium
The Tame Valley Canal leads us to the home of Birchfield Harriers, seen here across Perry Barr reservoir. The stadium was built in 1975 and can seat 7000 punters. Occasionally hosts pop concerts.
Witton cemetery
The largest cemetery in Birmingham, covering 103 acres of land. The brick wall going around the grounds is 2 miles in length. At its peak, it dealt with 20 burials a day. Only one of the original three chapels remain.
Sutton park
Worthy of a day out on its own. The largest urban park in Europe, covering 2400 acres. Its got a bit of everything - 7 lakes, ancient woodland, wetlands and importantly, a visitor centre selling ice creams.
